Objectives

  • To increase the impact of the natural and basic sciences in the UO, universities of the Eastern Region of the country and the society in general; helping to solve a wide spectrum of problems, improving the collaboration, and the relationship between the University and the Industry.

Main Focus

  • Close the gap between basic and applied research
  • Improve infrastructure usage
  • Improve the policy of integration in the UO

Attention Areas

  • Improve human resources in basic science
  • Center of Excellence for chemical & physical measurement and computation
  • Create a Technology Transfer Interface

  • Universities from Mexico (UAM, UNAM), Spain (Univ. Autónoma de Madrid, CSIC), Brazil (Univ. Sao Paulo, Inst. San Carlos), and also successful
  • collaborations with NGO and government agencies such as: The Brazilian CAPES and FAPESP.
