The Vice-Rector for Research and Postgraduate Studies (VRIP by its Spanish acronym) of the Universidad de Oriente and the VLIR IUC Oriente Program Management call to all academics interested in participating in the second phase of the VLIR IUC Oriente Program, scheduled to start in 2019.
The program aims at covering all the research lines of the UO, science priorities at the country level as well as local development needs. On January 16, 18 and 19, the scientific leaders of the program will meet with executives and researchers from all the faculties in order to develop informative seminars for the second phase. The meeting will also aim at reporting to the scientific community about the main impacts achieved in the first phase and the strategies that the program follows before the nearby External Evaluation that will take place between January 21 and 27, 2018.

On June 4, 2018, the call will be made to candidates for doctoral studies who aspire to join the VLIR IUC Oriente program. Such candidates will be finally selected exactly one month later, by a Scientific Council made up by VRIP Methodologists, members of the Scientific Council of the Universidad de Oriente and academic leaders that are currently part of the VLIR IUC Oriente program.
