With the support of the Flemish Interuniversity Council, the Universidad de Oriente and the participating flemish flemish universities, are targeting to provide significant results in correspondence with local and national development priorities in the eastern region of Cuba. During the implementation of the program, a major boost for the improvement of the human resources management, the infrastructure and the creation of research alliances and their resulting social impact, has been carried out at an institutional level.
The program focuses on research, innovation, education and the training efforts carried out by the Universidad de Oriente for the Cuban eastern region. The main objective of this program is to achieve higher indicators regarding sustainable development and academic performance taking into account the social relevance, responsibility and impact of the university.
